Beaufort Historic Site Fall Party
Our Annual Fundraising Event
Annual Fall Party at the Beaufort Historic Site It’s time again for the Beaufort Historical Association’s annual Fall Fundraising Party in Beaufort. This year’s gala event will take place at the home of Robin and Katherine Team, 615 Front Street, Beaufort, NC on October 27th at 6:30pm and will feature the artwork of one of Beaufort’s favorite artists, Jaquelin Perry. Catered by Beaufort Grocery Company, the evening will be filled with beautiful artwork, great food and the relaxed sound of music by Blue Moon Jazz. The featured artist for this year’s party is Jaquelin Perry. Jaquelin hails from Colerain, NC, a rural town in the northeastern corner of the state, just west of the Albemarle Sound. The area offers no shortage of inspiration, from dilapidated barns to scenic fields of what Perry calls “the usual suspects”: cotton, corn, peanuts, soybean, and sage. Her husband grows it all on the couple’s farm. The BHA is excited to welcome Jaquelin back to Beaufort. She has been one of the bestselling artists in the Mattie King Davis Art Gallery for over 9 years, and she was also the featured artist for our 2012 Old Homes Tour Weekend. Jaquelin’s artwork is just like her personality, fun, bright, colorful and as she says “full of life”! Tickets are $100 and may be purchased in advance at the Beaufort Historic Site Welcome Center at 130 Turner Street, or online at www.beauforthistoricsite.org. Sponsorships are also available online or at the Historic Site to get an added advantage of an additional Thursday evening art opening party. The Fall Party committee members host this party at the Historic Site on Thursday, October 25th to thank the sponsors! All proceeds from sponsorships and ticket sales benefit the preservation, restoration and educational programs of the Beaufort Historic Site.
